Construction is underway!

Hey all!

Big updates this week! We were in the studio working all weekend and I feel like we got so much accomplished! We are well on the way to having such an amazing home for our dancers. I can't wait to see the end product!

Here is just a little pano shot of the whole place. We tore down some walls and ripped up some old flooring. It may not look like much now but this place is going to be absolutely amazing!

The whole remodel project has me thinking so much about work ethic and what it takes to get the job done. My incredible boyfriend is doing majority of the remodel on his own, with a little help from me from time to time. Hey, I help, lift a board here or there. :P He is doing this for me on top of all of his own responsibilities. He has a farm out here in Western Kansas and works his tail off keeping up with everything.

The reason that I am posting is to explain the importance of work ethic in life. I can promise you in all my years of dance, I wasn't the most talented dancer on the stage or in the studio. There was always someone that was better at something. But I can guarantee you, I was working harder than most. I knew that if I was going to be the dancer I wanted to be, I was going to have to put a little elbow grease into it.

Funny side story about the remodel. We were carrying in all of the lumber, doors, toilet, sink, and flooring when I just felt at a point I literally couldn't lift anything else. I just felt like my physical strength was all used up. Taylor looked at me and said, "I bet you can't load the rest of these boxes by yourself." Well, game on my friend. The second that someone looks at me and says I can't do something, I guarantee you, I CAN and I WILL! I will give everything I have to prove you wrong!

The point I'm trying to make is this guys, whatever you want in life, just put in the work and I promise you won't be disappointed with the outcome. Life won't always make sense but it's sure cool how it all ends up! Live out your dreams! Remember opportunity may come knocking, don't slam the door in it's face because it is disguised as work!

Happy Tuesday Dance World!
